Anime has come a long way since Astro Boy first aired in the 1960s.

Once considered just for children, anime now reaches all age groups and demographics even outside of Japan.

To this day, it remains one of the top sales commodities for Japanese pop culture overseas.

Can you guess how many people attended Anime Expo 2020? 63,000+

Can you guess how many people watch anime on sites like Crunchyroll every month?

Millions...

That's why I say anime is more popular than ever before.

Every year, there are more exclusives to stream (and eventually buy) at various outlets like Hulu, Netflix, and Funimation (and now even YouTube).

The American market alone represents over 80% of worldwide otaku spending power; that's almost 20% higher than last year.

Why You Should Watch Anime

There are lots of different reasons to watch unlimited anime.

For some, it's the art style (and vibrant colors).

For others, it's the lack of filler episodes and an overarching story-line that every episode builds upon.

Then there are those who prefer good English dubs versus reading subtitles; if that's you then you should definitely check out Funimation.

But for me, at least, I can't get enough anime because...

It has everything I love about other genres packed into one series, whether it be action, suspense, or comedy.

There is so much variety in anime that everyone can find something they'll enjoy!

Some people might not like the idea of watching anything with magical creatures, but if you can look past that fact then I guarantee there's at least one anime out there for you.

The best part is—you don't have to be a child to enjoy it.

There is plenty of amazing anime out there that will appeal to all age groups.

The stories are more complex and the characters are just as relatable as they would be in any Western TV show or movie.

Anime isn't just for kids anymore!
